Minutes from Union Executive Committee Meeting

Present – Michael Abraham, Prince Charles Alexander, Dennis Cecere, Peggy Codding, Peter Cokkinias, Marti Epstein, Margaret McAllister, Jeff Perry, Stephanie Reich, Wendy Rolfe, Jackson Schultz, Elizabeth Seitz, Will Silvio, and Jeri Sykes.

1. Marti made a motion to accept the minutes from the previous meeting. Jeri seconded and the vote was unanimous to accept the minutes.
    
2. There is a faculty member at the completion of the transitional contract and is 64 and would like to stay as a faculty member one more year due to a health issue since Medicare does not cover until 65. We are working on getting this taken care of. We discussed health insurance issues upon retirement.
    
3. Mail is now going to departments to be disseminated.
    
4. No meeting next week.
    
5. We discussed the AFT-MA convention. Marti, Wendy, Danny, and Jeff are attending to the conference.
    
6. An all-faculty meeting needs to be scheduled to get the budget approved.
    
7. We are in the process of setting-up a meeting with the Board of Trustees.
    
8. There are seven chair positions that are vacant and searches in progress.
