Still got nothin'...

The union met with management last Monday afternoon for another fruitless session. In an effort to reach an agreement by September first, the union put a one-time package together that dropped several proposals and reduced some of our economic demands. We sent the package to management late Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday evening Larry Simpson requested that we meet on Wednesday. We agreed, hoping to reach a settlement that would allow faculty to receive their wage increases by September first. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement on a new contract. Management simply remains intransigent. To get them to move, we will need faculty to stand with the bargaining team to show them you want and deserve the many improvements we are trying to bargain for.
